⁴⁰ Some of the crowd therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, “This truly is ^(A)the Prophet.” ⁴¹ Others were saying, “This is the ^[a]Christ.” Still others were saying, “^(B)No, for is the ^[b]Christ going to come from Galilee? ⁴² Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from ^(C)the seed of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”
